When Shared Transition Is a Requirement of Designers: Unusual Cases on Compose

In Russian

For a long time, Shared animations were seen as a nice-to-have that could easily be skipped. That's changing: designers increasingly treat these transitions as a required part of the UX. At Drinkit, we faced this firsthand—shared animation became part of the feature specification.

Using a real case from Drinkit, I'll show how to work with Shared Transitions under non-trivial conditions—with blur, dimming, and other visual effects. We'll also discuss the difficulties we encountered and how we solved them.

The talk will be useful for developers who use Compose but treat animations as an afterthought, as well as anyone who wants to see how this tool works in production.
