From Personal to Team Productivity: The Power of IDE Templating

In Russian

One of the key persistent challenges in development is the large amount of routine, boilerplate code that slows down work and increases the likelihood of errors. In this talk, we will explore how a systematic approach to creating and using templates in an IDE can fundamentally solve this problem. We'll see how building a shared template library helps achieve several goals simultaneously: significantly accelerating development, standardizing processes within the team, and simplifying the onboarding of new employees.

We will examine this approach in detail using a practical example of organizing the presentation layer and UDF architecture. During the talk, you will learn about practices for creating and structuring templates, methods for their storage and synchronization within a team, and how to better sell technical solutions to your own team.

This talk will be especially useful for developers seeking to minimize their routine tasks and tech leads interested in increasing their teams' overall efficiency.
